Dr. Jessica Peele, DDS
Having been interested in health careers in high school, Dr. Jessica "Jess" Peele’s love for dentistry blossomed with an international volunteer trip to the Dominican Republic where she was able to gain her first experience in the field. After completing her Biology undergraduate degree from UNC- Chapel Hill, she was lucky enough to travel to Europe, for what ended up being 5 months of exploring and working in new and exciting cultures. The main force that drove her back to the states was Dental School!
Heading back to her home town of Chapel Hill for dental school, Dr. Peele was able to expand the reach of her education by organizing a dental service trip to Nepal. She was also involved in local community service throughout her career at UNC and was an active member of her class, serving as Social Chair and Class Secretary.
Dr. Peele completed an extra year of training through a General Practice Residency at MAHEC Clinic in Asheville, North Carolina. At this clinic, she was able to treat a variety of patients with many complex dental needs, ranging from difficult Oral Surgery, Denture and Partial, Endodontic, and Crown and Bridge cases. She is very excited to join the team at Cooper Family and Cosmetic Dentistry and explore the “other” Carolina. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Peele can be found enjoying the outdoors, exploring Charleston’s waterways in her canoe, and experimenting with new and interesting recipes.
