Meet Dr. Cooper

Dr. Amy K. Cooper is a native of South Carolina.  Born in Rock Hill, she fell in love with dentistry at the age of eight when she first got braces. From that moment, Dr. Cooper set her goal of becoming a dentist and never looked back.

Dr. Cooper graduated from Presbyterian College. She was chosen for Omicron Delta Kappa, Beta Beta Beta, and Delta Omicron Honor Societies. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from PC with a B.S. in Biology, B.A. in Music and a minor in Chemistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2005. Upon graduation, Dr. Cooper worked as an associate in a cosmetic and family practice for two years. She decided to open her own practice in 2007 in the Park Circle area of historic North Charleston, SC. She has completed additional training for root canals, adhesive dentistry, and Cerec CadCam restorations.  Dr. Cooper is a certified member of the American Dental Association.

When she is not in the office, Dr. Cooper can be found teaching Tae Bo® classes in her local community.  She is a Billy Blanks Certified Tae Bo® Instructor.  Dr. Cooper offers a “pay-what-you-can” Tae Bo® class on Monday and Thursday nights at the United Methodist Fellowship Hall in North Charleston.  She also hosts a Saturday morning class at the Orange Spot Coffee House on Chateau Avenue (next door to her office).  For additional information and updates, become a Facebook fan of Park Circle Tae Bo® today!

In her spare time, Dr. Cooper enjoys running, cake decorating and playing the saxophone and piano. She also loves spending time with her dogs, Zoey, Rosie, and Dixie.
